I saw a little girl down by the beach and she didn’t have a leg.. She was eating scraps of bread and drinking water from the public tap..”
“Come on let’s go…”
“Ummm… Where we going ?”
“You will see…”
We ran all the way down to where we entered.. Yusuf told the guard something and we left.. All the way down we ran and might I add my body is like zero tolerance for exercise…
We ran into a cart with all these weird kind of sweets and stuff and Yusuf pulled out a 20 Dirhams and bought a mixed pack…
“Ummm.. You eat that stuff?”
“Desperate circumstances call for desperate measures… 😜”
“Just kidding, they not for us…”
He pulled in my arm and I walked behind him… He was heading for that little girl
“You came here to…”
“It was bothering you, this way you can enjoy the day knowing that you did something to put a smile on someone’s face…”
He handed me the packet of sweets and said,” go build your Jannah..” With a smile on his face…
I walked over to the little girl and greeted her.. She replied..
“This is for you”
She smiled ,a smile so brought it was from ear hole to ear hole… A smile of real gratitude… “Jazzakallah and may Allah reward you well and your entire family..”
I said aameen and turned around to see Yusuf smiling…
“Feeling better?”
“A lot better… Thank you”
“Oh I don’t except those without a gift… Let’s see who gets back first.”
He said as he started running..
